UAE based singer / multi instrumentalist Adam Baluch combines acoustic guitar, keyboards, trumpet and a soul friendly falsetto to create a unique style, that defines his own genre. Adam was accepted into the highly acclaimed Carolina youth symphony by his early teens and continued to develop his talent through classical training, finding new influences in other musical genres such as hip hop and evolving his songwriting skills, creating new sounds through the encompassment of beatbox and more advanced musical production. His raw acoustic style is prevalent in early tracks such as ‘Charlie’ while later recordings in this period, e.g. bring it on down to love, show a definite movement towards incorporating additional instruments.

As the young musician’s profile started to build in the UAE, a move to Europe was inevitable, and in 2003 was booked to play the local music scenes in London and Manchester, during this time he immersed himself in the UK music scene, absorbing the influence of local artists. Interest in his music was abundant. However, despite attempts to ‘commercialize’ his sound, Adam stayed true to his conviction and confidence in his ability. Spells in Melbourne and Sydney saw Adam win the coveted 2007 national singer songwriter competition, and appearances in renowned music venues such as Melbourne’s Esplanade raised his reputation. It was during this period that Adam started experimenting with a loop station, layering his tracks and honing his skills as a performance artist, while establishing a new, vibrant style to his repertoire. ‘I left the classical scene a long time ago but playing in an orchestra has helped me a lot, as what I do now is pretty similar to playing in a mini band. I’m using multiple instruments at the same time and a loop station. So it’s made me think as a whole group rather than just myself,’ he says.

Adam returned to the UAE in early 2010, and created a partnership with local musician Ziryab, which culminated in a three year residency at Jam-base. The duo were highly regarded in the local music scene, and toured extensively throughout the region. The 2015 release of his 4 track EP ‘Answers to Questions’, marked a new period in his career, and led towards a more produced sound. While the release received a mixed response, and moved far from his natural sound, his local profile has gone went from strength to strength, supporting acts such as Ed Sheeran, Lionel Ritchie, Arrested Development, Richard Ashcroft, Kaiser Chiefs, as well as accompanying The Wailers on their 2015 tour, through South East Asia . Other notable appearances include performing at the UAE’s 40 th anniversary concert while playing his own residencies throughout the UAE.

When asked about his unique style, he answers ‘My core and my crowd are telling me my music deserves to be heard. There’s no label involved yet, it all comes down to the material, and if it has the ability to be put in front of the right people, then hopefully it’ll be good enough for them push to the next level. The ultimate test is not going to be whether you get success in Dubai, it’s whether you can be successful in Europe or the US,’.

The single “Go-Go” was released on DubaiEye radio station, and the first album will be released in 2016. When I'm not at my day job, I support a children's language program devoted to children's learning of Arabic through MUSIC.

I produced and composed an album comprised of 16 Arabic nursery jingles to support this program. As mentioned previously, I grew up with a foreign language taking the place of my own mother tongue so this project is very close to my heart. I am also a mentor at the Rock Camp for Girls UAE; a Dubai-based non-profit organization that builds the self-esteem of girls aged 7-17 through music creation.

The koto is a popular traditional Japanese string instrument, among other japanese instruments such as shamisen and shakuhachi. A rather simple structure made of paulownia wood, its elegant and soothing tunes has mesmerized people for over 1300 years.

About the Artist - Originally from Hyogo, Japan, Mai is a masterful player and teacher of the koto, a traditional Japanese instrument. Under the tutelage of the world-renowned koto virtuoso Kazue Sawai, she earned her teaching license from the Sawai Koto Institute in 2014, receiving an Honorable Mention Award. Mai has captivated audiences in Japan as well as in Australia, where she resided for nearly six years.

​Her passion extends beyond preserving the timeless elegance of Japanese art; Mai enjoys infusing contemporary creativity into koto music including experimenting with various artists, ranging from clarinetists to sitarists and also visual artists. Recently having moved to Dubai, UAE, she is eager to resonate with the local community and explore the koto's possibilities through new cross-cultural collaborations, embracing the region's rich cultural heritage.

Lebanese singer and songwriter Jay Abo has been making waves in Dubai’s homegrown circuit. With gentle melodies and a naturally smooth voice, Abo is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting new acts in the UAE.

Raised in Dubai, Abo began his career practising and recording his own covers of well-known songs. Putting them out to the public on social media, he began to gain recognition from his peers, who praised his soulful energy and gentle voice. Young and talented, Olena Kolibaba is a professional violinist, artist, music instructor, and composer, who's music taste and performing style represent a combination of sophisticated classical genres with electronic, jazz music, improvisation. Nowadays Olena creates and records strings arrangements of popular tracks and composes her own original music

Being a 6 years old child Olena entered a music&art school in Mariupol (Ukraine) where she started taking violin, piano, and fine arts classes. Music took one of the major roles in Olena's life as after years of continuous practice, winning awards in a variety of regional and international music competitions, Olena had no doubts that music and specifically violin is her huge passion and by the age of 15, she decided to follow this way in her career.

Olena continued her music education at Kyiv Special Music School named by M.Lysenko and later in June 2016 Olena successfully graduated from Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine and Kyiv Glier Music Institute, obtaining Bachelor in two majors: violin performance and music culturology.

Since 2015 Olena shares her performances in Europe and since 2016 in UAE. She was 22 years old when she received an offer to perform in Abu Dhabi, which she accepted and moved to UAE. For the last four years, Olena has been performing as a soloist in different venues with residencies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, teaching music (violin and piano) in one of the music institutions in Abu Dhabi and also she has been performing as a part of instrumental ensembles (duos, trios), orchestra.

Born in a family of musicians, Ovidio de Ferrari thought the whole world played the piano! He started composing and playing from the age of 5 and gave his first concert when he was 10. At 15, he became a singer and piano-accompanier of The Choir of the University of Chile.

During his career he has been travelling, playing and singing in 25 countries around the world.

He has performed, produced, conducted and organized hundreds of different music events. 10 years ago, he founded and established his own music school in Dubai, UAE. The ‘Ovidio Music Institute™’ prepares and teaches more than 300 students every year for exams and general interest. Ovidio De Ferrari was appointed as conductor of the Dubai Chamber Orchestra (2005 -2006). Currently he continues working and performing with his own chamber orchestra which comprises 25 professional musicians of different nationalities.
