ABI is a highly talented multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Lebanon.

Formed in 2014 by Majd Jadam and Hassan Samad, Looney Tunes is an emerging band looking to take over the Lebanese music scene. The name, which was first a joke among band members, now comes to describe the band’s crazy fast rise in popularity. They regularly perform in different venues all over Beirut and have participated in many competitions including winning one held by Meen the Band. Looney Tunes are currently looking into recording original tracks, so come to Lebanon to enjoy their sounds as you don’t want to miss out on this band’s journey.

Looney Tunes is a hard rock and metal band based in the University of Balamand (Koura) that plays various sorts of musical covers and originals.

Looney Tunes have been around for over three years now, and have performed in various places around Lebanon.

Majd Akiki is a talented Drummer and Music Producer currently based in Lebanon.

MEEN is a Lebanese rock band founded by Fouad and Toni Yammine in 2006. We’re proud to say that the band is best known for its humorous and sarcastic style, and most notably for performing in native Lebanese, adding a twist and a bit of flare to traditional rock music.

Meen is the he first band in Lebanon to release its music under the creative commons license, Meen is certainly a landmark of Lebanese music. From humble beginnings performing in universities the band has moved up, releasing several albums since its formation in 2006. Their music alludes to Lebanese humor as they tackle serious issues in a sarcastic light. Some of their more successful songs include Inta Min Wein and Jeye Min B3id.

Sam Wehbi is a freelance guitarist/music-composer and songwriter based in Beirut,Lebanon.

Also the guitarist/back-vocals of the indie band Sandmoon.

The Kordz have risen to the pinnacle of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean rock scene after years of constant gigging, perseverance and overcoming obstacles. The Kordz were known across Lebanon as the hardest working band around, as their high-energy gigs drew an ever-increasing throng of fans and increasingly high profile gigs, including opening for the likes of international Alt-Rock band PLACEBO and the legendary ROBERT PLANT.

Never a band to follow musical trends, The Kordz have instead been at the forefront of the emergence of Middle Eastern alt-rock and metal, effortlessly blending together guitar riff-driven rock with incredibly funky grooves and Arabic instrumentation, rhythms, and melodies. Its live shows have inspired legions of dedicated fans, and the group is known for shaking more than a few rafters during the course of a night's work.

The Kordz worked with Grammy Nominee producer Ulrich Wild (Deftones, Static X, White Zombie, Breaking Benjamin) in Canada, Los Angeles and Lebanon on their latest L.P "Beauty & the East” which effortlessly combines opposite, divergent, musical worlds in a stark reflection of the band’s origin in being the living proof of coexistence of various beliefs and different mindsets. Probably for the first time, these worlds have been engineered on such a high professional level, serving fans of modern alternative rock, traditional Arabic harmonies and those people always searching for something unique. Mark LeVine, Grammy-winning musician and author of Heavy Metal Islam, describes The Kordz as "without a doubt the best rock band from Morocco to Pakistan, and perhaps anywhere. “Beauty & the East” is the result of the band members’ musical, social, and spiritual life experiences. It is a blend of several musical and cultural influences, as well as a clear message for change. It's not just the music that's groundbreaking; the lyrics tackle social problems, politics, change, love and acceptance - global issues that can be applied anywhere, not just the strife-ridden Middle East where the band hails from. That's not to say The Kordz are primarily a political band; rather, they are constantly pushing to transform the standard rock idioms with the experiences gained by growing-up in the hard and often harsh reality of life in a war zone. As Moe says, "It's not just about one band, in one country. It's not just about us being from the Arab world; It's about people - everywhere - all feeling this universal thing”. THE KORDZ, “Beauty & the East” will be released in Europe during the first quarter 2012 through an international record company, following the band support, July 2011, as special guests, rock legends DEEP PURPLE for the icons’ Orchestral German summer tour, as well as they headlined other shows in Germany and Czech republic, and lately they have participated in the “Festival du Monde Arabe” creation entitled “Charabia” in Montreal, Canada along with a Classical Orchestra and Sufi singer, and other artists.

For The Kordz, poised on the edge of global success, that universal thing could turn out to be very, very big.

The Wanton Bishops, though a band by every definition of the word, is actually the vision for one very eclectic man – Nader Mansour. A cultural anomaly, considering the fact that he was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Nader as lead singer is the very epitome of a howling blues man. But throw in Nader’s psychedelic 60’s influences – the culture, literature and music, and a heavy dose of meditative Middle-Eastern Tarab, and you’ve got a wicked brew that the world has never seen or tasted prior. Supported by his guitar wielding comrades-in-arms, Eddy Ghossein and Salim Naffah, and his musical mercenary friends on bass and drums, Nader’s vision for The Wanton Bishops is now complete.

Digging into the soul of the music, Nader’s influences range from the blues of RL Burnside and Muddy Waters, to the rock of Led Zeppelin and Hendrix, going through the psychedelic sounds of The Doors, and The Velvet Underground, into the Tarab of Sabah Fakhri, Mohammad Kheiri, Oum Kolsoum and Asmahan. He creates music that takes the listener head first into wailing harmonicas, raw cat calls, contemplative Mawwals, psychedelic atmospherics and stomping garage-rock guitar riffs. Nader’s creative sidekick Eddy Ghossein is an anglophilic guitarist with a passion for classic and contemporary British sounds and harmonies. Under the guidance of Lebanese underground genius producer Fadi Tabbal, and with Eddy’s influence, Nader’s songs emerged from the Delta swamps and the Lebanese mountains into a musical landscape with a blues foundation and a modern rock twist, a space currently inhabited by bands like The Black Keys and The White Stripes. Yet in the case of The Wanton Bishops, their music oozes an original flavor that is unmistakably an animal from a far off exotic land.

The Wanton Bishops debut album, Sleep With The Lights On, won the Beirut band accolades and opportunities. MTV describing the album as “suspended between disillusionment and exultation, their visceral sounds echo the soul of their crumbling city,” with Rolling Stone painting an equally colorful critique, writing “The Wanton Bishops are a thrilling rush of raw blues and booze soaked indie rock, reminiscent of The Black Keys, but with a ramshackle sensibility all their own.” The band journey from Lebanon to perform festivals and club shows around the world, to include support opportunities with legendary acts The Who, Guns N’ Roses, and even Lana Del Rey.

In 2015 Nader expanded the band’s musical capabilities by adding other key players to the family, guitarist Salim Naffah (Loopstache) and drummer Pascal Semerdjian (Postcards) all while calling on Fadi Tabbal (Tunefork Studios) as a producer once more. A longtime friend of the band, Salim added a unique modern and dreamy musical component to Nader’s writing process, while Pascal brought in depth on drums as well as quirky patterns. To quote Nader, The Wanton Bishops are now a ‘free floating polyamorous relationship I share with a bunch of unbelievable human beings and musicians, Eddy, Salim, Pascal, bass player Antonio and sometimes others’ adding that the new music exudes ‘psychedelic, alternative-rock elements dabbled with flavours from the Middle East.’ Says Nader, ‘We are taking our blues induced rock and roll down an ethnic-electronic highway. We’re finally getting to the core of the music we want to create, and that core is scarily confused, much like our own identity as Lebanese people living in Beirut, that eternal cultural crossroad.’

After hitting European festivals all summer, to include Glastonbury, Nova Rock, and Solidays, the band will be touring worldwide throughout 2017 in support of their new EP NOWHERE EVERYWHERE.

Formed in 2009, the band started out playing covers of classic rock until they released their first album in 2012. Their talent quickly earned them a place in concerts all over the Arab world. In 2014, they got the attention of David Gappa, a producer who offered them a contract in Europe and the band has enjoyed success there ever since. Some of their best songs include Distant Rendezvous and Born Addicted.

Perhaps the name strikes one first, but as soon as these four bearded men hit the stage with their energetic set, the crowd does not seem to mind the confusion the name creates.
