Abdallah Alansari is an Emirati stand-up comedian, MC, and ventriloquist / puppeteer who brings a unique blend of humor, storytelling, and cultural insights to the stage. With years of experience performing at corporate events, awards ceremonies, and comedy shows, he is known for his sharp observational comedy and engaging stage presence.

Having completed his Masters in Music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 2007, he forayed into different genres of music, expanding his knowledge and expertise. Today, Abhijit has a rich 14 years experience in Western, Eastern, Band and Commercial music.

Abhijit has been associated with famous singers like Rupankar, Anasuya Chowdhury and other renowned artistes, as a co singer and vocalist in their music albums. He has also featured in various music concerts, television and FM channels in India and abroad. A highlight of his journey in this case would be his participation at a concert at the Emirates Palace Theatre in Abu Dhabi in front of some of luminaries like Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Former UK Prime Minister , Mr. Tony Blair, Founder of the Clinton Foundation and 42nd President of the United States, Mr. Bill Clinton and Founder and Chairman of GEMS Education, Mr. Sunny Varkey.

Abhijit’s knowledge and contribution to music has been recognized and acknowledged by various bodies nationally and internationally. But Abhjit didn’t stop there. He decided to hone young minds and introduce them to the finer nuances of music. He is presently on the Faculty of Music at GEMS Education in Dubai, UAE after having taught in various institutions.

I worked in Algerian television in the production department for seven years. I have worked on more than 100 cultural, artistic, religious, sports, and news programs.

I also worked in many festivals, such as the Arab Film Festival, Laughter Festival, Short Film Festival, and others, and I worked as a freelancer in films, series, advertisements, video clips, and fashion shows in both fields.

I also do artistic works such as transformational makeup and FX makeup, which are followed by more than 30,000 people on Tik Tok, 20,000 on Facebook, and more than 10,000 on my Instagram accounts.

Formed in 2008, UAE-based Absolace have earned a huge following across the Middle East with their mixture of progressive rock and metal. In 2010, the band recorded and released their debut album Resolve[d] to critical acclaim. The record, which showcased Absolace’s unique rhythmically oriented sound and mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost, et al) was unveiled at launch gigs in both Dubai and Lebanon, and went on to generate impressive album sales both regionally and internationally.

The combination of their intense, dynamic live shows and the professional standard of musicianship on Resolve[d] have enabled Absolace to build up a large following in a short space of time, and the band have played several large shows across the region, including the Formula 1 celebrations in Abu Dhabi and support for UK prog legends Anathema in Beirut.

2011 saw Absolace go from strength to strength, headlining and playing to packed venues locally (including the Peace One Day Festival at Irish Village, Dubai), featuring in local and international music media (Rolling Stone Middle East, Classic Rock Goes PROG! UK), commencing writing and production of their second full length feature and recently supporting US rock giants 30 Seconds To Mars at the prestigious Byblos Festival in Lebanon

2012 promises to be a landmark year for the band; releasing their highly anticipated second studio LP "Fractals" locally (UAE) through Spellbind Records (local distribution) in late Feburary. Produced by drummer Greg Cargopoulos and Dubai based U.S. producer Joshua F. Williams (Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Flo-Rida) and mastered by Grammy Award winning Gavin Lursson @Lursson Mastering in Los Angeles, "Fractals" shows Absolace evolve and expand their signature sound and groove and branch out into new sonic territories. Themed around the concept of chaos theory, "Fractals" has already generated major interest locally and globally; and was independently released globally in late March.

Absolace are four musicians who share an innate love of music. The result is an epic sound that transcends the traditional rock band, and makes them one of the most exciting new acts to emerge from the regional scene.

This is a traditional form of weaving practiced by Bedouin women in rural communities. Traditionally men shear goats and camels, and the wool is cleaned and prepared by the women. The yarn is spun on a drop spindle, then dyed using local plant extracts (such as henna or saffron), and then woven on a floor loom using a warp-faced plain weave.

The traditional colours are black, white, brown, beige and red, with distinctive patterns in the form of narrow bands of geometric designs. The result is colorful products - clothing, camel and horse decorations, Bedouin tents, majlis floor pillows, carpets and mats.

Traditionally, women gather in small groups to spin and weave, exchanging family news and occasionally chanting and reciting poetry. Such gatherings are also the means of transmitting the tradition: girls learn by watching, and are gradually given tasks to do, such as sorting the wool, before learning the more intricate skills involved.

A traditional verse that gives voice to the essence of Bedouin life

Al-Taghrooda has its origins in the desert and mountainous regions, and rural villages of the United Arab Emirates as a form of improvised poetry among Bedouin camel riders and herders. Today, it is found throughout the nation and is a beloved component of UAE culture.

This chanted poetry was developed to help pass the long hours during desert treks on camelback. Riders also believed it encouraged the animals to walk in time with each other, and could even be used to increase their pace as the chanters quickened the rhythm of the poem.

Riders would improvise the words of each Al-Taghrooda poem during their journeys, creating short poems of seven or fewer lines, each of which is then repeated alternately between two groups of riders. Generally, a lead singer would chant the first line and the rest of the group would respond. Then the second line would be chanted and then repeated, and so on.

Themes

Al-Taghrooda's poetry is straightforward and does not use complex metaphors. One of its most important traditional functions was to document the social and cultural history of the region.

The most common theme in Al-Taghrooda is the love and devotion of the singer to loved ones, other relatives, friends, and tribal chiefs. Poets also use Al-Taghrooda to comment on social issues, highlight historical achievements and give advice on topics ranging from safe driving to healthy behaviour. It even is used to help settle disputes among individuals and tribes.

Poems are frequently cited in daily conversations and are seen as an important source of wisdom and insight into Emirati history.

Some of the most well-known Al-Taghrooda poets in the UAE include Obaid Ibn-Maa'aded Al Nua`imi, from Al Wajan; Ahmad Ibn-Salem Bal Abda Al Shamsi, from Al Ain; and Mohammed Ibn-Hamed Al Manhali, also from Al Ain.

A Glimpse Back:

Today, Al-Taghrooda performances give Emirati audiences insight into their history and cultural heritage and provide a glimpse into the traditional Emirati way of life. In a change from the past, Al-Taghrooda is not necessarily accompanied by chanting. Also new is how it is being enjoyed in written and recorded form, as well as at live events.

These poems are chanted around campfires, at weddings, at camel races, and at heritage and national festivals, while some forms of Al-Taghrooda are incorporated into traditional performances, such as Al-Ayyala. Women also compose and chant Al-Taghrooda poems while engaged in collective work, such as Al-Sadu weaving.

For Emiratis, the most important aspect of this poetry is the social bonding that happens during the exchange of verses.

In 2012, Al-Taghrooda was inscribed on the UNESCO 'Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity'.

Alessandra Toni is an Italian pianist and composer of neoclassical music. Born in Milan, she is currently based in Vienna, Austria. At a young age, she studied music at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. A few years later, she also obtained a doctorate in foreign languages, followed by a master's degree in psychology and neurosciences. In May 2023, Alessandra Toni signed a contract with the record label INRI Classic, which currently distributes her debut album "The Best Chapter" through the Universal Music Group. Her musical project was released on 19.01.2024 and recorded at the Bösendorfer Salon (Musikverein) in Vienna, home of the prestigious piano brand of the same name, where she also performed for the album release. In the Austrian capital, she also executed her music more than once at the Italian Embassy. Moreover, Alessandra Toni has been invited to play at festivals such as "Piano City" in Italy and Spain and "Milano Music Week", including other international venues like "Hannersarholt" in Reykiavik (Iceland) and in Dubai, for a couple of events, as well as at the "Theatre of Digital Art," where she played for the second time on 16/06/2024, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the piano brand “Bösendorfer”. On April 11th 2025 she released “Glow”, a single for a project named “Woman Muse Series”, from the Spanish neoclassical label AD21. Her second Album “Out of Reality” will be published in 2025.
