Irish Ponce is a Filipino visual artist based in
the United Arab Emirates whose work
primarily explores portraiture through
graphite drawings and oil paintings. After a
period of creative dormancy following
college, Ponce rekindled her artistic
practice upon relocating to Dubai in 2017,
embracing art as her enduring passion.
With a meticulous approach to capturing
human expression, Ponce has established
herself as a sought-after portrait artist while
expanding her creative practice to include
mural art and photography. Her technical
precision with graphite on paper showcases
her foundational strength, while her evolving
work with oils demonstrates her growth as a
painter.
Beyond her commissioned work, Ponce
shares her artistic knowledge through
workshops, fostering creative community in
her adopted home of Dubai. Her journey
reflects the persistence of authentic
creative expression despite life’s
practicalities—a narrative that resonates
throughout her growing body of work.
