Iyam El Lira is an Oriental band founded in 2014 between the alleyways of the old souks in Byblos. The band came together with a magnetic passion for old oriental music (Fairouz, Ziad El Rahbani, Zaki Nassif and more) and a determination to innovate around it and keep it alive. The band came into sight when various covers of both Arabic and Oriental-esque Western songs went viral on social media, appealing to the audiences of all generations with the way the songs were transformed, however staying true to their authentic sound.
