DJ Velvet, a Haitian Canadian DJ, playlist curator, and vibe creator, has been passionately involved with music throughout her life. As the recipient of Ottawa's 2022 DJ of the Year award, she has used music to overcome life's challenges while spreading love and joy across the globe. In addition to her accolades, DJ Velvet is the official tour DJ for Zimbabwean rapper Charmaine, who won Rap Single of the Year 2022 at Canada's Juno Awards, and rising Zouk star Jessie Simmons.

An international DJ, Velvet masterfully blends sounds and genres from around the world, including Hip Hop, Afro-Beat, Amapiano, Deep House, and her personal favorites Raboday, Zouk, and Kompa.

Currently, DJ Velvet is an in-house DJ at the Ottawa Warehouse restaurant and a recurring guest DJ at Life Ottawa. She has also showcased her talent at festivals such as the Cranium Showcase and Conference, and Afro World Fest, where she has shared the stage with Canadian legends Kardinal Offishall and Corneille, as well as international artist Phyllisia Ross.

Dedicated to supporting her community, DJ Velvet has mixed for various fundraisers, including the Fusion Art Auction in collaboration with Ensemble non-profit, the Water for a Cause virtual concert to combat sickle cell disease, and the Mazepis 4 Haiti fundraiser held in Ottawa, Canada.
