Babak Safarnejad the harmonica player, was born on the 5th of June 1985 in Tehran Iran. He arrived at Music Academy when he was eleven and chose Qanun as his first professional musical instrument.

He was taught different musical instruments by popular maestros as follows: Tonbak by Esmaeili, Violin by Akbarpour, Piano by Amir Ali Hananeh, and Classical Guitar by Mozafarian.

He started diatonic and chromatic harmonica when he was 19th based on listening to and observing remarkable harmonica composition maestros all over the world. The first harmonica album (Old Friend) in Iran is his job which is arranged and performed in different styles such as jazz, blues, country, rock, gypsy jazz, and Irish.

All tracks in this album belong to the most famous harmonica players in all over the world such as Toots Thielemanas, Steve Baker, Lee Oskar, Jean Jacques Milteau and Kenny G.
