My name is Patrizia Masutti and my story starts a long time ago. When I was 8 years old, I attended my first concert in my hometown, Trieste (Italy). It was an ensemble of young children playing baroque music with recorders, harpsichord, and xylophones. I literally fell in love with that sweet and elegant music and I remember I said to my mum: “I want to do that!!” and that is how it all started. I spent the next 4 years playing baroque and renaissance music with the "Giardino Barocco" ("The baroque garden") thanks to my very first music teacher Maestro Sergio Pittaro.
At age 11, I met the harp for the first time and I started studying this magical instrument with Prof. Giuliana Stecchina and with Prof. Maria Grazia Consoli at the local Conservatory. At age 14 I won the first prize at the prestigious Salvi National Harp Competition in Viggiano (Italy) and at age 21 I graduated from the Conservatory of Trieste with the highest marks.
Since then, I have played extensively as a solo, with orchestras and many different chamber ensembles. After moving to Dubai with my family in 2011 I continue playing in prestigious venues on different occasion and I am sharing my passion with several harp students, the magical journey is still going on.
