Ahmed Harfoush is an Egyptian jazz vocalist based in London. With a long career starting in Cairo, he is the premier jazz vocalist and entertainer in Egypt and has been performing there and around the world for over two decades. He is the co-founder of the Cairo Jazz Festival, where he currently holds the position of Chairman, and the director of Cairo’s most in-demand jazz ensemble The Riff Band.
Harfoush received voice training privately and at London’s Mountview Academy for Theatre Arts. Harfoush’s passion for music and the stage began when he sang with numerous choirs performing excerpts from classic Broadway and West End musicals. Spending his childhood in the United States, he was exposed to the American music legacy.
His first international jazz performance was at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing ‘The Cole Porter Song Book’ with accomplished Scottish musicians.
His first original song, ‘Music Makes me Swing’, was recorded in 2007 by American producer Darryl Kennedy as part of a compilation album project, ‘Voices from the Sand’. Kennedy collaborated with Harfoush and the Riff Band and recorded their arrangement of the classic tune ‘Tea for Two’.
HarfousH performed in Paris, London, Berlin, Milano, Larnaca, Greece, Slovenia, Budapest, Dubai, Prague, Damascus with New York City’s Chris Byars Jazz Quartet, Skopje with the Macedonia Philharmonic and most recently in a Christmas concert in December 2016 in Cambridge with the Cambridgeshire Youth Orchestra along with conductor Timothy Redmond.
He created the HarfousH Jazz Band in London in October 2016, performing his new “Egyptian Jazz Projekt” featuring swing and latino versions of 1940s and 1950s iconic Egyptian pop songs. He performed this project at the 2016 Brighouse Art Festival in the UK.
HarfousH is working on his new original electro-swing single “Sweet Little Sin” with composer/lyricist Nadine Wild Palmer and music producer Leon Sanders, to be out in early 2017.

He studied & graduated from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transportation in Alexandria -major business administration, but deep inside him and his vision was to be a professional musician.
Egyptian audiences identify Nour Ashour as one of the best Egyptian saxophone players or more specifically, with a whole family of saxophones: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone etc. Through over a decade of performing, Ashour has played with many bands, One of his most recent music commitments is the Nour Project, the first project for which he is fully responsible in terms of artistic vision and direction.

His music collaborations have also reached the world of electro music, he cooperated with different national and international DJs.

Nour Ashour: Saxophone and Vocals
Performing regularly with the Egyptian superstar Mohamed Mounir, in live concerts in Egypt and abroad, he plays since 2003 with “Ressala band”, “El door el awal” band, “Crash Boom” Band, “Vybe” band, “Fiesta Latina” or “Sundial band” and performed with professional Dj’s like the Lebanese Saeed Morad y Hady DJ, the Egyptians Samba, Amr Hosny, RORO and Hisham Sabra. He has toured and performed also with some of the most recognized musicians and singers in the Middle East & Africa: Tamer Hosny, Hisham Abbas, Sherin Abdelwehab, Tamer Ashour, Mahmod Esseily, Zeezee, Karim Mohsen, Mohamed Maghrabi, West El Balad, Black Teema, Basheer and Salalem band from Egypt; Abdelfattah El Gereeny from Morocco, Ragheb Alama and Myriam Fares from Lebanon, Saber El Robayi from Tunisia, Asala nasri from Syria, Aziz maraca from Jordan.
Wael Badrawy: Keyboard
Sound designer/ engineer, music producer and arranger since 1995, he plays also with “Yahia Ghannam”, “Nagham Masry”, “Taboo”, “19th band”, “Crash Boom”, “Resala” and others.
He has composed music for programmes at the Nile Channels, scored for independent movies in 1999 such as "Habbet Sokkar", composed many TV commercials and channel promo's. He produces short films, animation, games and radio applications. He composed for Dream TV Program about Ahmed Fouad Negm (2007); JSC Documentary: “Islam In Central Asia” (2002), “Tawfik El Hakim” (2010), “lam akon antawy” (2011),“Mahmoud Al Gohary” (2014); Short movie “kayf tarany” (2013);.
Mohamed Nabil: Percussions
With a clear influence from Latin and African music, he is always curious to discover new music and new instruments to explore.
He plays also with “Soot Fel zahma”, Khaled Shams, “Khaltabeta”, “Fuego“ and has played with the Alexandrian music Bands “Gipsea”, “Massar Egbari”... He has accompanied several famous singers and musicians in Alexandria and Cairo like Muhammad Hamaki, Tamer Hosney, Amer Mounib & Tamer Ashour. He performed in international music festivals such as International Biennale of young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean Skopje- FYROMacedonia (2009); Adriatico Mediterraneo Festival in Ancona- Italy (2009); Sauti Za Busara Music Festival Zanzibar- Tanzania (2010). He also leads regularly drum circles.
Marwan W. Zaki: Drums
Born March 13, 1990, Cairo, Egyot, Marwan began his entertainment career as a teenager sort of becoming the underground "star drummer".
Marwan plays currently with the band The Jokers, and also with the Cadillacs. In the past couple of years his talent has become more and more a proof to people everywhere that Cairo that Marwan can shine in all types of music styles, including jazz, Latin, Rock, Blues, and fusion.
Marwan performs with unmatched dexterity, his energy translated into one of the best sounding grooves out there, simply he sweaps people off their feet when he is on his drum set!
Marwan has been growing into being highly influenced by series of musicians. Among those his prime influences in music are the Beatles, from which he draws most of his inspirations.
Marwan has joined Nour Project in 2015 becoming a crucial member of the band in its musical development.
Ahmed Hossam El-Din Derbala: Vocal & Spanish guitar He started to play music and sing at 14 years old, encouraged by his pianist grandfather. He is influenced by the Gypsy Kings as if feels they are very close to Arabic gypsies.
For Ahmed “music is all around us, we just have to listen to it”. He plays also with “Ressala”, “7 tones”, “Khaltabeta”, “Fuego“. He sings in Arabic, Spanish, French and English
He performed in Chicago (Illinois, USA) with "Classical Revolution Chicago organization" (March 2013) and at the International University music festival, Belfort- France (2014).
Abdallah Abozekry: saz
He studied Saz in the Arab Oud House with a Syrian-Kurdish teacher, then he graduated by the age of 15 to become the first and the youngest teacher for Saz in the Arab world. He is currently working as a teacher at Arab Oud House in Cairo.
At 14 years old, he won the 3rd place in the Saz international competition in 2009 held by Selhi Al Wadi institute. Not yet 20 years old, he won the 1st place in the Saz international competition organised by the Cairo Opera House at the 23rd Arab Music Festival (2014).
He is a member of "Orchestra Al Sharq" and "Bait Al Oud Orchestra" directed by Mr. Naseer Shamma
In summer 2013 he joined "The curfew musical project 2013" where musicians were playing all night during the curfew at the Egyptian Center for Culture and Arts.
In January 2013, he started his own project "Abdallah Abozekry Quartet" to play his own originals.
He is also member in other musical projects like "Safi band", "Kareem Hossam Jazz group".
He took part in several workshops: "Remix Asia 2011", "Ethno Cyprus 2013" and in a workshop in 2014 with the incredible Palestinian Kamilya Joubran. He performed in Cairo Jazz Festival in 2013 and in Oufuqy Music Festival Vol.III in July 2014 with the support of the Goethe Institut in Alexandria.
He has performed already a lot in Egypt and in several countries such as UAE, Qatar, Oman and Tunisia. Lebanon. He went to France for a tour with his elder brother (Mohamed Abozekry) and his band (Heejaz) and performed at l'Institut du monde arabe.
Fady Badr: Keyboard & Qanoun
He started to play on keyboard since he was 7 years old and started to learn the zither when he was in college. He plays also with Fathi Salama,Yehia Khalil, Bashir, “Resala” and “Ashra Gharby”.
He has played as well in international music festivals in France, Malta, Italy, Qatar, Dubai, Bahrain and Bulgaria.

As a close relative of Mohamed Mounir, he has grown up surrounded by music. He sings in Arabic, Nubian and English. He sings also with “30th of feb. Band”, “Kaza Mood” band, “Hawedro Band”.
He has recorded songs for TV: in 2003, "Allah Ya Al-Aaly" a soufian original music peace composed by Baher Gamal and lyrics by Mohamed Abdallah, which has been launched at Dream tv as being streamed on the channel every day by the time of Fajr prayer, and in 2011 for mobinil advertisement - "malnash gheer baad".
